HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

Was fun. Good job Dreamworks!! Your TD's did an amazing job on hair, fur, rock, wood and scales. Clouds and fire also superb! Lighting was beautiful! Character design by the amazingly talented Nico Martlet (seriously this guy is crazy good!) the animation was simply superb, both subtle and big, score was unobtrusive and rousing in the right place but what about the story? Fun, just fun. But don't take my word for it, go see it, I mean if you like this sort of thing, you know dragons and vikings. More like this please! What's next guys?

Can't wait to see this! I had the pleasure of working with one of the directors ( Dean DeBlois ) on what would have been his live-action feature debut at Disney several years ago. Probably one of the best family oriented famiy film scripts I've read, the film somehow got lost in development hell. Dean is very strong with story and character and is a really cool guy to work for. I predict that Dean will be to Dreamworks what Brad Bird is to Pixar.

Agreed! Totally loved it. Right in there with Kung Fu Panda for me. I hope their box office improves, it really deserves it.
